Good questions, straight answers
Are You Licensed and Insured?
Do you provide compliance documentation after gas work?
Yes. Gas work is carried out by appropriately licensed tradespeople and documented as NSW rules require, so you've got a record for insurance or a future sale.
What is your licence number?
NSW Plumbing Licence #292427C. It covers both water and gas work, and you're welcome to check it before we start.
How long does the Lifetime Labour Warranty last?
For the life of the repair. Our labour on that specific job is covered, not just for a set number of months after we leave.
Are you licensed for gas work as well as water?
Yes, both trades sit under the one licence. A gas smell and a burst pipe get handled by the same team, not passed to a second tradesperson.

Availability and Booking
Can you give me an honest timeframe when I call?
We'll tell you exactly what's wrong and the best way to fix it, including where you sit in the queue. No vague promises, just the real picture for your situation.
Do you prioritise certain emergencies over others?
Yes. Anything moving water fast or anything you can smell goes first. A dead hot water system or a blocked toilet is still same-day, just not ahead of an active flood or a gas leak.
Do you take calls on Christmas Day and other holidays?
Open 24 hours, every day of the year, holidays included. A real person answers, day or night, whatever the date on the calendar.
Do you handle multiple emergencies at once during storms?
We do, and we're upfront about it on the phone. Worst-affected homes get seen first, and you'll be told honestly where that leaves you rather than left guessing.

Questions Specific to Camperdown
What should new Camperdown homeowners know about the area's plumbing?
Most of the housing stock here is Victorian terrace, some of it backing onto Camperdown Cemetery and Camperdown Memorial Rest Park on the Newtown boundary. Original clay and earthenware drainage under those rows is well past its intended life.
Why does Camperdown's housing era matter for plumbing repairs?
Victorian-era terraces were built with materials and layouts nobody plans a modern repair around. Access is tighter, original pipework is older, and a fix has to work with the building, not against it.
How often should older Camperdown homes get their plumbing checked?
Once a year is a reasonable habit for a pre-1940s terrace, more often if you've had a burst before. Winter heating and hot-water load in these homes is when tired systems tend to give out.
Are Camperdown's commercial strips serviced for emergencies too?
Yes. Shops and small businesses along Parramatta Road get the same same-day emergency response as the terraces around them, any hour we're called.

Money, Fair Pricing and the $0 Call Out Fee
Do you price jobs individually or off a rate card?
Individually, every time. Your job gets looked at on-site and priced for what it actually needs, not pulled from a generic list that doesn't know your pipework.
Is the quote free even if I don't go ahead?
Yes, and there's no obligation to say yes on the spot once you've got it. $0 Call Out Fee means getting that number costs you nothing.
How is fair, upfront pricing different from a standard quote?
A standard quote can still grow once work starts. Ours doesn't move once you've agreed to it.
Anything extra the job turns up gets re-quoted and approved by you before it proceeds, never added after the fact.
How do you decide what a fair price is for emergency work?
Parts, labour and testing, added up the same way whether it's midday or 2am. Best Price Guaranteed means no after-hours loading on top of that figure.
